ACTC received
the 21st Century grant to provide
comprehensive after-school and summer
programs. These community learning centers provide
academic enrichment opportunities for students,
particularly students who attend high-poverty and
low-performing schools, during non-school hours or
periods when school is not in session.
A Chance to Change has implemented before and
after school programs in Apollo Elementary School
and Overholser Elementary School. Teachers,
artists, and other professionals provide activities
to help students learn and improve their academic
performance.
Please call or
email
the Director of Prevention and Education

A
Chance to Succeed
Because of the high toll drugs and alcohol are having on
our youth, a new program called A Chance to SUCCEED has
been implemented in partnership with local schools.
This program provides education for adolescents and
their families and early intervention for youth who need
it. This new program provides services to those who
cannot afford to pay for them, including:
-
Free education to parents and school staff.
-
Free drug and alcohol screenings for middle and high
school age students.
-
Free education and behavioral groups for at-risk
students.
For information about our prevention programs,
presentations, and training
opportunities, please call or
email the Director of Prevention and Education
