Lt. Governor Chris Anoatubby, The Chickasaw Nation

Community Impact Award Honoree

The Chickasaw Nation, represented by Lieutenant Governor Chris Anoatubby, is a champion of wellness, resilience, and community care, carrying forward a long tradition of supporting individuals and families in times of both joy and hardship. Through its comprehensive mental health and addiction recovery services, the Nation continues to uplift First American communities with culturally grounded, evidence‑based healing.

At the heart of this work is Chikasha Anokfilli (“Thinking Chickasaw”), a powerful mental health initiative dedicated to strengthening emotional balance, reducing stigma, and promoting early intervention. The program provides accessible resources addressing trauma, grief, suicide awareness and prevention, financial and cultural wellness, and more, each designed to empower individuals to thrive with mental clarity, cultural connection, and overall wellness.

The Chickasaw Nation’s behavioral health programs, including psychiatric care, prevention services, outpatient counseling, medical family therapy, and family strengthening workshops, ensure that individuals and families receive holistic support tailored to their emotional, social, and spiritual needs. These initiatives emphasize prevention, healing, and long‑term recovery, offering pathways toward stability and well‑being for those facing mental health challenges or substance use struggles.

Rooted deeply in the values of strength, balance, and harmony, the Chickasaw Nation continues to expand its reach through community education, professional guidance, and accessible digital resources that encourage proactive care and foster a culture of resilience. Their unwavering commitment to mental health and addiction recovery reflects their mission to enhance the quality of life for all citizens and First American communities.

For their transformative leadership, culturally informed care, and enduring dedication to healing, we are proud to honor The Chickasaw Nation, represented by Lieutenant Governor Chris Anoatubby, with this year’s Community Impact Award.

Join us on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum to celebrate Lt. Governor Chris Anoatubby and The Chickasaw Nation for their accomplishments.
